Everyone has areas of their lives or personality that they would like to improve upon. Whether it be to eat better, quit smoking, have a better relationship with your spouse or child, or manage your anger better, you would improve something. In my own personal life, as well as through my experiences as a psychologist, I have discovered the unfortunate truth that most people are not equipped to make these self-improvements on their own (myself included!). With some guidance however, you can not only make the improvements you desire, but you will make them more quickly and with far less effort. This is where you will benefit from my personal coaching services.
Even though I do label it as coaching for clarity, I try not to use the term “life coach.” To me, a coach is someone who barks at you, tells you what to do, and then punishes you when you make a mistake. This is not what I do at all, and in my opinion this approach would help almost no one. Instead, I like to think of myself as a “self-improvement specialist.” My goal is to have an open, honest discussion with my clients and to help guide them towards their best solution. I use this approach for many reasons, but the two big ones are 1) no one knows your situation or your mind better than you do, and 2) the best solution for you may not be the best solution for someone else, so only you know what “the best solution” is.
I offer face-to-face, self-improvement consulting sessions for individuals in the Kansas City area. Thankfully, modern technology allows me to provide my services to anyone, regardless of your location also. I hold these sessions by webcam for clients that are unable to physically get to Kansas City. My methods and techniques do not change, and the only real difference is that there is a screen between us.
