You didn’t think I would forget about you, did you? There is no way I could overlook the people who played such a huge part in making the last year one of the best of my life. It took me quite a while to come up with a suitable Christmas gift for you, but after hours of deliberation and brain storming, I think I nailed it. Below is a Roll Models version of the Holiday poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” or at least part of it. Within this attempt at poetry is an announcement, which is your actual gift. While I could not come up with enough rhymes to redo the whole poem (it is much longer than I remembered), and even the stanzas I did write are by no means great, I hope you will enjoy it (and the announcement is the important part anyway). Spend time with your loved ones, cherish your time with them, and laugh too much. Make sure you remember what this season is all about. Most importantly, have a very Merry Christmas!
(To the rhythm of “Twas the Night Before Christmas”)
‘Twas the last Roll Models post before Santa comes near
So I wrote you this poem, to spread Holiday cheer;
Not a word will be written, nor article posted
Until after I enjoy the second Christmas I’ve hosted;
I know you will long for, my wisdom and wit,
So I hope that your gift will make up for it;
With me in my wheelchair, and my nurse right here,
I present unto you your present for this year;
My secret project, arose so much wonder,
For Christmas this year, you’ll peak under its cover;
Its run through my head now, for miles and miles,
To author a book on my life, thoughts, and trials;
It is only just started, without even a name,
But it is in the works, all just the same;
It will contain stories much like my website
to help you live life with joy and delight.
It will be a mix of old and new tales,
You will have to read it to get the details;
Some stories are funny and others are sappy,
Overall though, it will make you happy.
It is a big project and has no release date,
It takes a long time to create something great;
I will keep you posted as I continue to write,
But until then, Merry Christmas to all,
And to all a good night!
