GoingsScott Drotar Speaking 4 through life as a disabled person has given me a unique perspective on many things. It has also given me the opportunity to learn a lot of life lessons. These lessons and my view of the world have played a large role in my having a full, successful, and happy life. As a self-proclaimed “people watcher”, a psychologist, and just as a person, I have discovered that a lot of people could benefit from some of the life lessons I have acquired. It is from this revelation that my professional speaking program, Roll Models, came about.

My Roll Models talks are all built around stories from my life that had a major impact on me and taught me a valuable lesson. My talks vary in subject matter and in the types of lesson you will learn. Some are happy, and some are sad. Some are designed to motivate and inspire, and others to educate. A lot of my talks are related to the Posts I write, which you will find, cover a plethora of subjects and themes. All of my stories are designed to entertain you, provoke thought and emotion, and leave you with a message that you will use in your own life. In short, my talks are designed to help people.

Scott Drotar Speaking 2I am happy to speak to any group of people willing to listen. If you have an audience, I will speak. One of my favorite groups to speak to though, are children and teenagers. You always get a kick out of the energy of a young, captivated audience, and they always ask the greatest questions. I also enjoy speaking to a more mature audience though, because you can weave a more complex story with a deeper message and do more with your listeners. Basically, I like to tell my tale to whomever will listen.

As you just read, I will speak to anyone, anywhere. I understand that you may need a better indication of whether my services are appropriate for your needs though, so I will give you a few examples of the types of people I speak to. Now remember that this is not an all inclusive list, and if you are at all interested in having me speak, please contact me. A few examples of the types of groups I speak to are:

  • Youth Groups
  • Schools
  • Charity Events
  • Dinners/Banquets
  • Churches
  • Couples Groups
  • Clubs
  • Veterans Groups
  • Businesses

I tailor each of my Roll Models talks around the respective needs of that client. You know your audience better than I do, and you know what type of message or emotions will have the greatest impact. After discussing your needs and getting a little understanding of your listeners, I will then prepare a talk that will captivate your audience and deliver a powerful message. My talks vary in length from as short as 20 minutes to as long as 3 hours or more. My interest in giving a talk is to meet your needs, because that is how I will most effectively pass my message on to your audience, fulfilling my mission to help others.

Scott Drotar Speaking 3I am currently located in the Kansas City area, so I am available to speak in person anywhere within reasonable driving distance. I am available to travel farther to deliver your talk, however my travel costs will influence the arrangement. A modern alternative to travelling to speak is to provide the talk for you via video conferencing. I am fully equipped to give your talk live over the internet, which means I can speak literally anywhere. So if you are interested in receiving a Roll Models talk, we can find a way to meet your needs.
